IO 360 C on Rear?
Without the full background of why I'm asking this question . . . is it possible to put an IO 360C on the rear of a 1966 337A? My understanding is that the only difference between the C and the D is an accessory or two. However, I think only IO 360Ds are specified in Cessna's Type Certificate Data info -- but have not verified this yet. I'll be doing that later this week.
If anyone has done this or had any experience with this, please advise what paperwork needs to be done to comply with the Type Data info for airworthiness? Any other issues I'll need to deal with? Thanks, Keven ________ GONG BONG Last edited by Keven : 04-23-11 at 05:12 PM. |

I've got IO-360C's front and rear, but I have an O-2, no vacuum pumps. On the front, The hydraulic pump is on the pad normally occupied by the fwd vac pump.
If you have dual hydraulic pumps, you have to have the -D's front and rear. I don't have the Type Certificate Data Sheet in front of me, but I'm pretty sure that its optional -C's or -D's. |

Yep!
Thanks Folks:
I was able to get my hands on the TCDS tonight and found the same thing. Problem solved! Thanks for the responses. Keven ________ Hotgirltina Last edited by Keven : 04-23-11 at 05:12 PM. |
