I just went through this. The issue of leaking past the valve is from the little balls not sealing on the seats. The selector valve has a small well in it that can collect water. I think this...

BILLS:

A more complete answer would be that the battery installed in your plane in 1965 was a flooded lead-acid battery. In comparison to a Concorde sealed battery of today the charge voltage was...

The regulator choice is up to you. The original 27.7 was installed over 50 years ago. Battery technology has certainly changed since that was written. Gill and Concorde both recommend much...

BillS:

I'm glad the electrons are flowing in the right direction. Unfortunately I do not remember the background of the original problem. A little refresher would be great.

Sorry for the late response on the polycarbonate breaker box lining. These are the pieces I had cut from my paper template. These make a nice insulation of the area.

Jeff:

You may want to consider a spacer between the panel and the mounting holes. This would look like a license plate frame. I'll send you pictures. I would also encourage you to line the panel...

That sounds like a very good option. When you fit your wires mark a line on the wire for alignment of the terminal. This is important on the larger wires. Send pictures.

I just added a few pictures...
