Hi Ernie, It would appear from comments within the RFD thread and from the confirmed registrations list that Messrs. DeSantis and Harney are not intending to participate in this upcoming meeting yet the meeting agenda lists each as prominent presenters. In the interests of a reasonably accurate meeting agenda, can you or they confirm which case is correct?

Hi, Steve, they are both coming. If you look at the list of attendees at the bottom of the meeting web page, you'll see that both are listed. And just above the list you'll see this statement "We've recently been in touch with most of the people on the list who have not yet registered, and they're still planning on coming". Specifically, Jerry DeSantis messaged me 4 days ago and he's coming in his airplane with Herb Harney and Larry Bowdish. On that same day, Larry's message to me said "I’m coming, definitely, Herb is coming definitely, Jerry is coming definitely". I expect them to register in the next few days.

For those still considering joining us, let me remind you that the early-registration fee is valid through April 16. So you have a bit over two weeks. Hope to see you in Lucaya.

Since last night, DeSantis and Harney have registered, and the Werves completed their registration, so I have updated the list of attendees to reflect this. Also, Bowdish has mailed his registration and payment, and I've updated that also.

And I finally realized, Steve, your concerns based on comments within the RFD thread, except that those comments are not contemporary. They date from 2005, when DeSantis was saying that he wasn't going to be able to make the 2005 Fly-in in Key West.

Thanks for the clarification Ernie. As you can see, I failed to notice the posting dates. The coincidence of having those comments in conjunction with their apparent lack of registration left me confused. Nothing new there though!

Fly-In Page Updated!

To print the updated Fly-In page, click on File, then Page Setup, then reduce right and left margins to 0. This should eliminate any right margin bleed-off.

We're fortunate that John Piowaty, a retired fighter pilot with Airscan, Inc., has agreed to give a presentation at the Lucaya Meeting and Fly-in. He'll talk to us about their fleet of over 12 Skymasters used for military surveillance and aerial animal surveys (bison, whales). They've put 550 engines in 3 of their birds (and other modifications), have performed 40-inch drop tests at 5120 lbs., and are getting 10-11 hours of endurance by operating lean-of-peak. All of this -- plus typical mission profiles and more -- will be covered.

You'll find the presentation in the updated meeting agenda. It's in blue so you can find it easily. I've also updated the attendee list.
