Here's what's on the NTSB web site:

"On July 31, 2009, about 1430 eastern daylight time, a Cessna 337F, N337BA, operated by a private pilot, sustained substantial damage when the airplane impacted terrain after takeoff from the Frankfort Dow Memorial Field (FKS), near Frankfort, Michigan. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time of the accident. The personal flight was being conducted under the provisions of 14 CFR Part 91 without a flight plan. The pilot on board the airplane sustained serious injuries. The flight was originating from FKS at the time of the accident and its destination is unknown."
