Thanks for your response Dale, looks like I have quite the investigation ahead of me! The front alt out light is on all the time, so at least it gives me a solid fault to chase...much better than an intermittant one! I will continue troubleshooting in the new year, but if anyone has any sugestions between now and then, I'm all ears...
