We installed the F&M adapters couple of years ago. Great system, they have been fantastic. As Kim indicated my sensor was in the oil cooler. I just installed the JPI and it has oil temp and used the port right behind the prop on the engine case. There is an plug right on top that can be removed with a hex key allen wrench. I will see if I have some photos.

Here is a photo of the front engine port and the rear engine port for oil sensor.

Thanks for the information! What JPI system did you install? Did you keep the factory oil temp gauge as well? Any chance you might also have a picture of the factory probe location on the oil coolers? I really appreciate all of your help!

I will check my photos and see if there is a photo that might show the cooler location.
I installed the EDM760, old school but money was a factor. I would have liked to gone to the full digital display but too involved. Everything factory stays. I did put in the fuel flow option which I really like.

Here is the Oil Temp Sensor on the rear oil cooler. In the middle with the boot over the sensor for the wire connection.

wonderful! I appreciate the help. I am going to relocate my sensors next weekend!
You don't happen to have the part numbers for the connectors, do you? I will probably need a different type. Looks like a tight fit. Or can you use a 45 elbow to redirect the sensor for easier access? Thanks! Mike Last edited by mhudsonbsme : 10-24-11 at 08:11 PM. |
