Glare shield and EL panel question

On my ‘77 NA G model, the EL panel wired are twisted black/white and attach the the EL panel about 3” outboard of the center radio stack frame, just right of yoke for Pilot side, and just left of copilot yoke for flap panel.

Glare shield is mounted with sheet metal screws through plastic tabs across top of both pilots and copilots panels. You remove the overlays to see the screws.
