Glare shield and EL panel question

My EL panel under the pilots yoke is not working, but the one for the flaps is. As such, I can assume that my inverter is working. I hope it is something as simple as a disconnected wire between the EL panel and the inverter, because from previous posts, it seems like removing the panel under the pilots yoke is a nightmare--and I'm not particularly fond of having to cut wires going to the yoke itself.
