The Continental M-0 repair manual has all the info on procedure and sealants to use, on the road and from memory…
Clean bore well with MEK, there is a spray primer that is applied, then the purple case half sealant goes on the bore, then the permatex brown liquid on the seal and install. When I can I will get the actual numbers of the items. |

One sticking point is that the person who installed the seal retainer plates, 90 degrees off from what the parts diagram shows, did so when the sealant was still wet. I don't think they're going to come off without being bent. Good thing new plates are so cheap. Less than $20 each! :0( |
