Same thing happened to me when I filled the Aux tanks for a trip from Sacramento to Tucson. Discovered that if I only put 12 gallons in the right aux instead of filling it then it did not leak. Still have not gotten around to pulling the tank cover.

Like the o ring idea on the bolts. Just finished CiES probes and used a dab of fuel resistant sealer on the bolts for the access plates. CiES probe plates come with viton gaskets like you had made.
