CLT Rating

If your intention is to always fly CLT aircraft, the CLT rating is okay. The problem with only a CLT rating is, if in the future you decide to fly conventional twins, the insurance company will not recognize CLT as multi time and thus you have no multi experience.

It works this way. With a conventional twin rating, when you fly a Skymaster, you get to log the time as multi experience. However, if you have only a CLT rating, you must log time as CLT not multi. Yes! I know it does not seems right, but that's the way it is.

So what you have to do is think about what you want to fly in the future -------insurance wise.

Cheers
