Flap Adjustment

1966 337A (yes I have the manuals)
Is there any easy way to adjust the travel of the flaps, to achieve the 25 dgs? and have the flaps
tucked in the up position nicely? Any tricks?
Where to stick the 3/16 rig pins? the manual is very obscure about it.
