This is a movie that was taken of Kevin Mackenzie departing in
his P337 from Goldendale, WA in 2002. The camera is right next to
the runway, so the shot is fairly dramatic.
This was a HUGE file, 148MB, but thanks to Don Hickman it has been
compressed into a 23MB mpeg, or a 7MB mpeg (smaller frame). It is
not streaming video, you must download it first, then play it.
This file is being offered as an experiment. If you have similar
files that you would like to have on the site, please send them
to us on a CD to Kevin Mackenzie, 39860 SW Snowcrest Dr., Cornelius,
OR 97113.
Here are a few stills from the movie. The links to download
it are below.

IMPORTANT: Because this movie is so
large, the larger file is named "takeoff.bin" and the
smaller file is named "takeoffsmall.bin". To view either,
you will need to change the name to "takeoff.mpeg"
or "takeoffsmall.mpeg" after you download it.
Why are we doing it this way? If you click on a .mpeg file, it tries
to immediately download it to your temp directory and play it with
Windows media player. These files are too big for that sort of treatment.
ALSO IMPORTANT: For reasons that elude
me (as many things do), some users report that these files are detected
by their video players, and downloaded to temporary files and then
played, even with the .bin name. If it does this for you, and you
wish to save the file for repeated viewing, search your temporary
files for the file, and move it to whereever you want to save it.
As always, should you or any of your IMF force be caught or killed,
the secretary will disavow all knowledge of your actions. Good luck
Jim! Psssssttt....
Videos may not be available, we hope temporarily.
If you cannot access the video, please check back next week (2/24/04).
